Our client in the North-West Metro Atlanta area is seeking a Project Accountant for a Full On-Site contract position.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee construction billing processes, including cost-plus, AIA, and GMP, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Conduct detailed daily and monthly job cost reconciliations to maintain up-to-date project financials.
Identify and resolve discrepancies in billing, actively troubleshooting and improving processes as needed.
Generate weekly reports on labor hours and project costs for ongoing analysis and team collaboration.
Handle routine collections to ensure timely receipt of accounts receivable.
Take on additional tasks to support the team as required.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience of relevant experience, within the construction industry, with a strong focus on cost accounting, including:
Cost and Cost-Plus accounting
Percent complete and work-in-progress (WIP) reporting
Revenue recognition for construction projects
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field (preferred).
Proficiency with advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
Familiarity with Viewpoint and/or large ERP system experience required.
Strong attention to detail, effective time management, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
