TransCore (TRN), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a Full time Systems Technician to join our team in Middletown, Pennsylvania.
Summary: This position is responsible for the daily administration, monitoring and troubleshooting of project systems and resources to provide a stable and reliable network to users. Responsible for the maintenance, repair, diagnosis and installation of all servers, workstations and devices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains, repairs, diagnoses and installs all servers, workstations and devices.
Operates, installs and maintains security controls and policies.
Troubleshooting and resolution of hardware/software/network problems including coordination and follow-up of service calls with hardware/software/communications vendors.
Support a Nokia Microwave and VHF/UHF
Daily monitoring of systems logs.
Maintains the network infrastructure, internet access and website.
Maintains backups and data integrity related activities as required.
Procures new equipment, suggests purchases to improve the network and computing environment and keeps expenses within budget.
Driving is a key requirement for this position. Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
