Run reports and analyze data from Legal eBilling and matter management systems
Provide actionable reports and recommendations on findings
Consult, review and research moderately complex business, operational, and technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable data factors
Create PowerPoint decks to visually summarize data and key information in a clear and visually appealing style
Perform moderately complex data analysis to support and drive strategic initiatives and business needs
Develop strong understanding of spend and vendor engagement needs across the Legal department to monitor and track spend deviations or opportunities for savings or cost avoidance options
Develop a deep understanding of technical systems and business processes to extract data driven insights while identifying opportunities for engineering enhancements
Lead or participate on large cross group projects
Mentor less experienced staff
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, external contractors, and mid-level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Leverage a solid understanding of compliance and risk management requirements for supported area
Support the development of our highly complex reporting data infrastructure
Analyze large and complex data sets to identify patterns and trends and use this information to develop insights and recommendations to senior leadership
Responsible for daily adhoc reporting and support
Execute on monthly processes in a timely manner
Cross functional support across the team as needed
Support complex projects, analyses across the Legal department
Establish standardized data processes and measurable metrics within the team
Create automated scorecards/dashboards to support the internal team and legal department
Bring a consulting, solution, and servicing mindset to our team
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
3+ years of SQL experience
Advanced Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) skills to create polished reporting and decks
3+ years of experience with data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI) with hands on experience building and maintaining visualizations
3+ years using Alteryx and/or data prepping and blending tools
Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work independently and accurately under pressure in dynamic and complex environment
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with Legal eBilling and matter management systems and running reports/analyzing data from same
Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis
Strong analytical skill with high attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills
