About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Control Management Officer to support Capital Markets Technology within the CIO organization for the Commercial and Corporate & Investment Banking Technology.
In this role, you will:
Participate in identifying, assessing, managing, and mitigating current and emerging risk exposures within Control Management functional area
Provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies, business processes, and business controls
Monitor moderately complex business specific programs and provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies
Monitor, measure, evaluate, and report on the impact of decisions and controls to the relevant business group or functional area
Provide guidance to business groups on the development, implementation, and monitoring of business specific programs to identify, assess, and mitigate risk
Collaborate with relevant business group to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations
Undertake regulatory Technology based control assessments
Mange Technology related Issues
Undertake monthly technology related metrics reporting
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Risk Management or Control Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
5+ years strong control evaluation/testing and/or Audit experience
Basic knowledge of products and trade lifecycle carried out by the front office (i.e. knowledge of the trade lifecycle through sales - trader - middle office - back office stages, types of trading activities - algo, basket, market making, etrading, and specific products such as FX, commodities, bonds, equities, etc)
Experience in large and complex banking or broker/dealer institutions, risk management leadership experience in multi-jurisdictional global financial institution.
Prior experience in risk process improvement, standardization and automation of business and control processes, quality assurance and control routines, and risk and control metrics and reporting.
Comprehensive understanding of risk types, methodologies, and frameworks for evaluating or testing controls and assessing results, and identifying control deficiencies
Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize competing deadlines
Knowledge and understanding on Control Programs including Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), Issue Management.
Experience across enterprise risk management framework, including: risk identification, risk appetite and strategy, risk-related decisions, processes and controls, risk analytics governance, risk assessment and control design
Track record of providing constructive challenge with appropriate escalation, root cause analysis and offering solution
Experience with tracking, monitoring, implementing and drafting corrective actions
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members
Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
Experience operating effectively in a geographically dispersed organization
Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of customers, team members and management
Virtual leadership experience with ability to effectively drive results, provide feedback/direction, and manage and build relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically dispersed team environment
