Your Team & Role 

As a Lead, Platform Engineer in Life Product Platform (LPP) you will partner with product owners, tech leads, designers, engineers and delivery professionals to improve enablement of FAST platform.  You will code, test and debug new and existing applications as you implement capabilities to solve sophisticated business problems, deploy innovative products, services and experiences to delight our customers! In addition to advanced functional testing expertise and experience, you will bring excellent problem solving, communication and teamwork skills, along with agile ways of working, strong business insight, an inclusive leadership attitude and a continuous learning focus to all that you do.  

Here is What You Can Expect on a Typical Day  


  • Configure, build and Test applications ensuring that the solution follows latest practices and industry standards for FAST testing.  

  • Develop high quality, well documented and efficient functional testing practices adhering to all applicable Prudential standards

  • Participate into various Agile ceremonies and contribute effectively as per the need.

  • Write unit, integration functional tests and functional automation, researching problems discovered by quality assurance or product support.

  • Review and update test plans and test cases based on the latest requirements or changes in the software. Ensure that all test cases are aligned with the acceptance criteria and cover all functional aspects of the application.

  • Run manual or automated test cases against the application, focusing on functional testing to ensure that features work as expected.

  • Log any defects or issues found during testing into the defect tracking system in JIRA. Provide detailed descriptions, steps to reproduce, and screenshots or logs to help the development team understand and fix the issues.

  • Perform regression testing to ensure that new changes or fixes have not introduced new issues or broken existing functionality.

  • Exposure to Test Automation Suit such as Selenium, Appium, Cypress or any such tools and exposure integrating these tools with CICD platform. SOAPUI, Postman, Selenium.

  • Plus but not mandatory, use programming languages including but not limited to Java, or JavaScript and React, Springboot, Node.js frameworks  

The Skills & Expertise You Bring  


  • Bachelor of Computer Science or Engineering or experience in related fields 

  • Financial/Insurance industry experience is preferred.

  • Experience with agile development methodologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD) 

  • Knowledge of business concepts tools and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business 

  • Ability to learn new skills and knowledge on an on-going basis through self-initiative and tackling challenges 

  • Excellent problem solving, communication and collaboration skills 

  • Collaboration skills to work with business partners and agile teams

  • Knowledge of Bitbucket, DevOps automation tools & practices

  • FAST platform knowledge or experience is plus but not mandatory

    • Experience with SQL, Excel, XML, and XSLT

    • Excellent if any working experience on FAST platform

    • Understanding of REST services/JSON

The salary range for this role is from $125,000.00 to $186,100.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
