The Director of Market Demand & Competitive Intelligence will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by delivering critical market insights, competitive intelligence, and demand forecasting. This leader will develop data-driven strategies to inform business planning, track market performance, and ensure optimal alignment of resources with market opportunities. By combining a deep understanding of market dynamics, competitor positioning, and demand modeling, this role will empower strategic decision-making and drive overall organizational success.
What you'll do
Strategic Planning and Market Analysis
Provide data-driven insights and strategic planning support to guide business growth and market positioning efforts.
Analyze industry benchmarks, emerging trends, and competitive dynamics to inform and prioritize strategic initiatives.
Deliver market intelligence reports and actionable insights to senior leadership, identifying opportunities and potential market risks.
Performance Tracking and Demand Modeling
Develop and maintain frameworks for tracking key market indicators and organizational performance metrics.
Build and refine predictive demand models to accurately forecast market needs, with a focus on optimizing inventory planning and capacity management.
Analyze market demand trends to drive agile responses in product offerings, capacity allocation, and business strategies.
Competitive Intelligence
Lead comprehensive assessments of the competitive landscape, identifying threats, opportunities, and market shifts.
Continuously evaluate competitor activities, product offerings, and market positioning to inform strategic responses.
Provide actionable competitive intelligence that enhances decision-making and strategic planning.
Resource Alignment and Optimization
Collaborate with Go-To-Market (GTM) leaders to ensure resource allocation aligns with market growth opportunities and strategic priorities.
Optimize GTM resource deployment based on market demand and competitive dynamics to maximize customer engagement and growth potential.
Develop recommendations for resource adjustments to capitalize on high-priority growth opportunities and respond to market shifts.
What you'll need
Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, Marketing, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in consulting, market intelligence, competitive analysis, strategic planning, or related areas.
Demonstrated success in demand modeling, market research, and translating data into strategic initiatives that drive business growth.
Expertise in gathering and synthesizing competitive intelligence to inform business strategies.
Strong strategic, analytical, and data-driven decision-making skills.
Expertise in demand modeling, market intelligence tools, and data visualization software.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with proven ability to influence senior executives.
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and drive alignment of resources with business goals.
