The Production Supervisor reports directly to the Director of Operations and is a member of the Business Unit's Production Management Group. The Production Scheduler supports the Production Supervisor. Hourly production staff reports to the Production Supervisor.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
Associate's degree in business administration or equivalent (BS preferred)
Knowledge of OSHA regulations is required.
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 3+ years in a supervisory role prior manufacturing experience in a high-volume environment strongly preferred.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Ensure machinery is maintained in excellent mechanical condition so that waste may be kept to a minimum. Investigate and document all incidences of high waste to address and eliminate reoccurrence.
Perform set-up checks to ensure Standard Operating Conditions are strictly followed. Any deviation beyond the guidelines is to be corrected immediately.
Ensure a high level of productivity is maintained in all areas through direct supervision and training of production personnel. Recommends equipment and procedural improvements to increase machine speeds and productivity.
Directs staff daily allocating resources based on business demands.
Manages full time and temporary workforce headcount.
Investigates, mediates, and resolves all employee relations issues.
Ensures compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
In conjunction with Human Resources and Plant Management recommends and delivers disciplinary action.
Delivers Performance reviews and proposes merit increases based on established criteria.
Responsible for training of all new or transferred employees in their job function.
Regularly delivers performance feedback to their reports.
Motivates employees to always perform to their fullest potential.
Provides excellent customer service to their crew by answering questions, solving problems, and troubleshooting possible difficulties in advance.
Carries out other projects as may be assigned by the Production Manager.
Applicants must be comfortable working in a non-temperature-controlled environment. Hearing protection and steel toed shoes are required. Safety, hygiene and cleanliness is strictly enforced. Applicants must be able to engage in periods of long standing and walking, and perform consistent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Compensation Range: $46,800 - $52,000 annually, consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position. ACR reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
