Portfolio Governance plays a pivotal role in ensuring the organization's portfolio of projects and programs aligns with strategic objectives and delivers maximum value. We collaborate closely with senior leadership, project managers, scrum masters, and other stakeholders to foster a high-performing and efficient project ecosystem.
Your Job
As the Portfolio Governance Leader, you will be the driving force behind establishing and maintaining a robust portfolio management framework. You will lead a skilled team and play a crucial role in driving project success across the organization.
Essential Responsibilities
Strategic Portfolio Management:
Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive portfolio governance framework, incorporating SAFe principles and PMI best practices.
Partner with senior leadership to define strategic objectives and translate them into actionable portfolio goals.
Develop and maintain a robust portfolio selection and prioritization process, ensuring alignment with business needs.
Conduct portfolio assessments to identify risks, dependencies, and resource constraints.
Facilitate portfolio reviews and communicate progress and potential roadblocks to stakeholders.
Project and Team Leadership:
Provide leadership and guidance to Project Managers and Scrum Masters within the portfolio.
Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Mentor and coach team members on project management best practices and agile methodologies.
Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback for individual growth.
rocess and Tool Optimization:
Implement and manage portfolio management tools, ensuring efficient data collection and reporting.
Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track portfolio health and measure success.
Continuously evaluate and refine portfolio governance processes for maximum effectiveness.
Communication and Collaboration:
Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership, project managers, teams, and external partners.
Facilitate effective communication across the portfolio, ensuring transparency and alignment.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation on portfolio governance policies and procedures.
Other Responsibilities:
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years of experience delivering or supporting projects.
Minimum 5 years of experience in portfolio management, project management, or a related field.
Proven experience in implementing SAFe principles or a similar scaled agile framework.
Demonstrated knowledge of PMI Standard for Portfolio Management and best practices.
Strong leadership and people management skills, with a proven track record of building and motivating teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and develop actionable solutions.
Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
PMP or SAFe LPM certification required.
Expected Salary Range
$127,000.00 - $248,900.00
The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
