The Corporate Controller will oversee the company's controllership activities, including accounting, auditing, tax compliance, and reporting. This role demands a strong leader with excellent business acumen, a deep understanding of GAAP and SOX, and exceptional skills in financial statement analysis, presentation, and reporting. The ideal candidate will be an energetic, proactive manager with a commitment to continuous process improvement and the ability to consistently meet deadlines and produce accurate financial information.
Key Responsibilities:
Controllership:
Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate results.
Implement and maintain effective internal controls.
Handle external and internal audit requests, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, and company policies. Coordinate with external auditors for compliance and timely submissions.
Lead and manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and inventory management processes.
Review and approve account reconciliations and journal entries.
Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate payroll reporting and coding.
Administer incentive compensation programs (Sales, LEAN, TEE).
Oversee capital deployment, reporting, reconciliation, and tracking.
Lead the cycle count program and physical inventory process.
Maintain and ensure compliance with the Levels of Authority document.
Authorize ACH and wire payments through Bank of America.
Align financial processes globally.
Monitor established procedures and identify opportunities for improvement.
Participate in special projects and assignments as needed.
Financial Leadership and Communication:
Collaborate across the organization to positively influence business outcomes. Communicate effectively with business leaders across all functional areas.
Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of accounting staff. Plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; mentor and develop employees; address complaints and resolve issues in line with company policies.
Foster a culture of performance and results.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
MBA or Master's in Accounting preferred.
CPA certification preferred.
7+ years of experience in finance and accounting.
Experience in manufacturing preferred,
