Job Title: Accountant

Location: San Antonio Facility (Hybrid after 3 months with 1-2 remote days per week, pending manager approval)

Reports To: Corporate Controller



Position Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to manage essential financial operations at our San Antonio facility. This role will handle financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, cost accounting, and more, ensuring accurate tracking of assets, liabilities, and financial performance. After an initial onsite period, this position offers a hybrid work arrangement (subject to manager approval), along with occasional visits to corporate.



Key Responsibilities

• Conduct cost accounting and general accounting tasks within the finance department.


• Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit/loss statements.


• Maintain the general ledger and manage month-end close processes.


• Reconcile bank accounts monthly, verify deposits, and address bank inquiries.


• Manage customer accounts, accounts receivable collections, and accounts payable payments.


• Provide documentation and support for annual audits and work with external auditors.


• File necessary tax documents with federal, state, and local agencies.


• Coordinate with software vendors for Netsuite updates and enhancements.

Qualifications




Experience:

• 3-5 years in accounting, ideally in a manufacturing environment.


• Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting.


• Proficiency with accounting software, specifically Netsuite, and Microsoft Office Suite.


• Excellent organizational and communication skills.


• Sole finance employee at this facility; reports directly to the Corporate Payroll Director.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
