Your new role


As an Electrical Engineer, you will:


  • Produce contract documents, including plans and specifications, aligned with the scope of work, schedule, and budget.

  • Prepare drawings and specifications that meet best practices, project design goals, and quality standards.

  • Coordinate with architects, structural, mechanical, and plumbing engineers on electrical system requirements.

  • Perform construction administration, including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, conducting field inspections, and preparing detailed reports.

  • Conduct and attend meetings with owners, contractors, and design team members.

  • Utilize knowledge of service utility coordination, power distribution, fire alarm, UPS, emergency power systems, lighting, and low voltage infrastructure.

  • Be familiar with annual energy use projections and analysis.

  • Conduct surveys, studies, and site investigations.

  • Prepare engineering reports and calculations for LEED submissions.

  • Participate in reviews with various governing agencies.


What you'll need to succeed

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering

  • 3 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the building services industry

  • Strong skills in electrical design, analysis, and troubleshooting

  • Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP)

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

  • A proactive and problem-solving mindset

  • LEED, Green Globe, or ASHRAE High Performance Buildings

  • PE or EIT Desired
