The Electrical Engineer is responsible for specifying, designing, developing, and implementing solutions to an array of new product development, operational improvement (productivity, safety), and reliability projects. Interfaces with program management, engineering, and operations teams to ensure that products deliver features and quality customers expect while maximizing manufacturability and minimizing overall cost.
Responsibilities:
Assemble and test prototype designs.
Generate work estimates, timelines, and cost estimates for projects.
Identify, plan, design, and implement projects to improve quality, reduce cost, increase productivity, and ensure safety.
Work with design engineering to fabricate fixtures to support product development, testing, and production
Generate design documentation and bills of materials for implemented solutions.
Ensure designs meet requirements and are technically sound.
Support compliance and reliability testing efforts through test fixture design.
Support global operations teams throughout new product introduction process.
Install, repair, and/or rebuild production related equipment
Confer with appropriate teams to resolve problems
Work from blueprints, sketches, schematics, and verbal instructions to devise solutions
Assist, advice, and instruct less experienced personnel to meet required technical and safety aspects of tooling operations
Supports ISO Quality System, Quality Policy, and Continuous Improvement efforts.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
Proficiency in Creo Schematic, Mentor Graphic, and AutoCAD preferred.
Good communication and technical writing skills.
Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
Travel up to 20% may be required.
