Job description and requirements
Negotiate, draft, and review various commercial contracts with customers, suppliers, and business partners.
Negotiate, draft, and review transactional and reorganization law contracts and conduct due diligence on proposed transactions, identifying and addressing legal risks and compliance issues.
Provide legal support to business operations regarding contract interpretation and risk management.
Participate in the management of litigation and other disputes.
Work in collaboration with external lawyers on certain files.
Maintain a legal watch to keep abreast of relevant legislative and regulatory developments.
Three (3) to five (5) years' experience in business law (firm or corporate)
Member of the Quebec Bar
Experience in regulatory compliance, including privacy issues
Writing, negotiation, communication, research and analytical skills
Fluency in spoken and written French and English, given the international nature of the work. Knowledge of Spanish will be considered an asset.
