Job Description:

Vertiv, in Westerville, OH, is hiring a Global Operations Data Specialist who will serve as the key connection point that links and synthesizes data from the various regional SIOP teams to drive global reporting. Additionally, fulfill all necessary requirements as a business analyst for the global operations team and their partnering functions.

This position will be responsible to coordinate with the Global Enterprise Reporting & Analytics team and regional SIOP teams to compile data needed to support Global SIOP process. The qualified individual will collaborate with Offering Management, Sales Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, and Procurement to compile reporting that supports key global decisions. Assist the Global SIOP Process Leader in building presentations to drive decisions from the CEO, CFO, and global functional leaders.

This position will also be responsible for the global operational team's data governance, data integrity, construction and maintenance of data files. This individual will help guide the daily operations decision makers by providing real-time, and accurate information that is being pulled from the business' operational data bases. Additional duties include collaboration with regional and functional partners on data file maintenance and creation, and executive communication.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with Global SIOP Process Leader to execute the consolidation of regional Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning activities amongst the Sales, Manufacturing and Procurement functions consisting of, but not limited to:
    • Consensus demand planning
    • Manufacturing capacity and network optimization
    • Inventory optimization
    • Support scenario planning with executive leadership

  • Support Global Material & Manufacturing Planning Senior Director to build tools supporting global material & manufacturing planning process.
  • Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement in global operations.
  • Process Improvement: Evaluate existing business processes and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase productivity.
    • Ensure KPIs are accurate and shared with the business in a regular, timely fashion.
    • Drive best practices and S&OP/SIOP standardization across all business units and regions.
    • Creates an environment of continuous improvement with emphasis placed on building a culture of personal ownership.

  • Reporting: Develop and maintain comprehensive reports and dashboards to provide insights into operational performance and key metrics.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with regional teams to understand their unique challenges and requirements and provide support to ensure alignment with global strategies.
  • Project Management: Lead and participate in projects aimed at optimizing operations, including process reengineering, system implementations, and change management initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders through presentations, reports, and meetings.
  • Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • All reports from Global SIOP and Global Operational Governance teams for accuracy, timeliness of update and quality of design to drive meaningful decisions.
  • Support of Global SIOP Process leader and Global Operations Governance Leader in running meetings and preparing for executive reviews.

QUALIFICATIONS



Minimum Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience building data management and reporting tools, preferably in Supply Chain, Sales Operations or Strategic Sourcing.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively solve problems.
  • Ability to multitask and organize your own work efforts.
  • Strong communication and ability to collaborate cross-functionally and cross-culturally to drive solutions.
  • Working knowledge of SQL to source data for global reporting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • (APICS or CPM)
  • Working knowledge of order processing systems, inventory management and material planning software (Oracle preferred)
  • Experienced with Microsoft Power BI and Power Query
  • Familiar with Smart Sheets
  • Working knowledge of SQL and Oracle to source data for global reporting

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field Computer Science, Engineering, Materials Management, Supply Chain, or related field
