Serves as a scientific writing consultant for stakeholders of the Office of Physician Scientist Education & Training (PSET) in the College of Medicine and the greater physician scientist community at Ohio State. This includes supporting and collaborating with current faculty and trainees across various education and training stages, including Physician Scientist Scholars Program, Physician Scientist Development Program, Medical Scientist Training Program, Medical Student Research Program, and Master of Medical Science Program. Key activities include evaluate and edit grant proposals and scientific publications, provide writing coaching and feedback via 1:1 or small group, develop and maintain up-to-date boilerplate language to streamline grant proposal development process, and collaborate on grant proposals and other scientific writing projects as needed. Responsible for the development and facilitation of scientific writing workshops and courses taken for academic credit. Serves as PSET Office of Research Liaison.
Minimum Required Qualifications;
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education/experience required. Master's or PhD degree desired. 6 years of biomedical and health science writing experience required; thorough understanding of analytical data desired. Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidate may be asked to complete a re-employment physical including a drug screen.
A hybrid work arrangement is preferred, but will consider applicants who desire a fully remote work arrangement.
