Job Description
The Revenue Cycle for The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is responsible for providing excellent customer service while processing patient demographic and insurance information efficiently and accurately. Areas within the Revenue Cycle include pre-registration, registration, pre-certification, financial clearance and counseling, financial assistance, scheduling, billing, claims follow-up, customer service and cash collection. The primary responsibility of staff with the Revenue Cycle is to ensure the collection of net revenue for services rendered.
Additional Information:The Registration Director is responsible for strategic direction and management of staff who oversee daily operations of registration functions at University Hospital, Ross Heart Hospital and Ambulatory sites. This individual coordinates initiatives and operations with Medical Center leadership from multiple facilities across our enterprise. The Director interprets policies and procedures, recommends changes as appropriate, and provides relevant feedback. As the Registration leader, this person serves as a key promoter of OSUWMC as a service organization which strives to meet and exceed the needs of its patients and customers, of the Revenue Cycle and its role within OSUWMC, and of Registration Quality and Compliance.
For Hire: Bachelor's degree in business administration or a healthcare field or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred, some resource management preferred. Masters may be preferred.
On going: Meets health requirements. Demonstrates competency measured by annual quality checks. Attends required in-services related to customer service and other pertinent issues.
