The Research Lead Technician will conduct and oversee independent studies and lead the design and implementation of funded laboratory projects. These studies will involve yeast genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, microscopy, and image processing and analysis. The Lead Technician will coordinate, influence, and review the work of others which includes oversight of undergraduate students and existing lab staff. They will oversee preliminary statistical analyses and prepare final research reports, graphs, and scientific manuscripts for publication. The Research Lead Technician will respond to requests for scientific materials and resolve escalated issues that may occur within the team.
Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Four years of relevant experience.
Desired: Bachelor's degree in any STEM area, preferably in biology, chemistry, or computer science. Experience with Research Technician work (assisting with experiments in molecular biology, biochemistry, or related area).

The pay range for this job profile is $20.02 - $26.33. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.
