Purpose of Position
This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.
Esports Attendants are responsible for assisting participants and creating a safe and fun gaming environment. This will be accomplished by providing information, encouragement, training, and supervision.
Duties & Responsibilities
Follow and enforce safe gaming practices according to Wellness & Health Promotion guidelines
Follow and enforce all Safety, Participant, and Employee policies of Wellness & Health Promotion
Assess and maintain a safe and clean gaming environment during each shift
Inspect the Esports Nexus and all equipment before use for safety of participants and employees
Maintain knowledge to effectively provide information to gaming participants
Track Esports participation through the use of facility management software
Utilize appropriate technology to manage the Esports program
Complete shift reports and checklists during each shift
Assist in the development, execution, and promotion of Esports events and competitions
Assist with the upkeep of supplies and equipment, including regular cleaning
Attend and actively participate in all Esports and Team Wellness meetings/trainings
Must wear appropriate PPE as directed for specific tasks/duties
Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements
Experienced with least one Esport title
Ability to teach effectively in one-on-one or group situations
Strong communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to handle stressful situations effectively and professionally
Ability to provide leadership during rule protests, disciplinary matters, rule interpretations, and facility conflicts.
Certification in CPR/First Aid/AED, or ability to obtain within 2 weeks of hire. (Training provided by the department at no cost for employees)
Enrolled in a minimum of 1 credit for the employed academic semester
Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. This position does not support visa sponsorship for continued employment.
Preferred Qualifications
Comprehensive knowledge of popular Esports titles that could include participation in regional/national competitions, or a high rank in an Esports title.
