The position will begin on July 1, 2025. The successful candidate is expected to hold a Ph.D. by the time of the appointment.
The successful applicant will teach courses in American politics using historical, institutional, and theoretical perspectives. Candidates will be asked to teach courses in their specialty, as well as one section per year of Introduction to American Politics. The teaching load is two courses per semester.
The candidate must have demonstrated ability to maintain an active, high quality research program and the highest standards of excellence in teaching.

Salary Range:
$95,000 - $105,000 per year

and Timetable:Applications should include a cover letter; curriculum vitae; research statement; teaching statement that addresses the candidate's ability to teach, mentor, and inspire students representing a broad range of backgrounds; evidence of teaching effectiveness; and a writing sample. Applicants must also submit the names and e-mail addresses of three references; an email will be automatically sent to them with a link to upload their confidential recommendation letter.
Complete applications, including letters of recommendation, will be reviewed beginning September 30, 2024. Review of complete applications will continue until the position is filled. Preliminary interviews will be conducted via Zoom.
