To advance Dartmouth's athletics fundraising and engagement efforts by fostering a culture of donor-focused stewardship and relationship building. To work closely with Advancement field staff, coaches, athletic administrators, and other colleagues to develop and monitor the implementation of a systematic, yet tailored approach to stewardship and engagement activities for donors, with the goal of demonstrating impact and coordination.
Bachelors plus 3-5 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Bachelor's degree with 4-5 years of experience in development, alumni relations, communications, stewardship, donor relations, and engagement, or the equivalent combination of education and experience* Talent to manage multiple projects and priorities* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; demonstrated ability to work with others* Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment* Strong project management skills* Ability to apply a high degree of tact and sensitivity to daily activities* Tolerance for ambiguity
* Three to five years of experience in development for higher education, athletics, or related field, preferably with experience in fundraising, donor relations or administration* Strong writing skills* Experience working with the most senior members, clients, and stakeholders of an organization* Demonstrated successful work experience in a large and/or complex environment where collaboration with multiple stakeholders and flexibility were essential* A creative and entrepreneurial spirit* Technical literacy and comfort manipulating and analyzing complex data* An understanding of Dartmouth's advancement systems

In partnership with the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Development, establishes guidelines, tools, calendars, and processes to facilitate individualized stewardship planning and implementation, and a system for implementing a donor acknowledgment program across all intercollegiate sports. Tracks and analyzes donor engagement metrics year-over-year and against industry best practices and institutional standards to inform and enhance stewardship practices.

Works closely with Advancement field staff and other colleagues to build, monitor, and support the execution of tailored stewardship plans with a focus on donors who have created endowment supporting athletic coaches and programs, and capital project naming gifts. Identifies and coordinates proactive and strategic stewardship opportunities for DCARD teams, coaches and staff when traveling for away competition, recruiting, or business travel to connect with local alumni.

Oversee the generation and delivery of acknowledgment letters to Friends donors across all sports and administrative units. This includes drafting additional communication for coaches and administrative staff, while managing donor recognition programs, including thank-you calls, acknowledgment letters, and special recognition events.

Manage the creation and distribution of the athletics department's annual stewardship report for endowments and capital gifts, highlighting the impact of donor contributions and maintaining transparency. Manages the creation and distribution of the Athletics Department's Annual Report to donors, showcasing achievements, financial summaries, and future goals.

As needed, partners with the Assistant Director of Donor Communications & Events in the execution of athletics alumni communications and special event programming.
