JOB TITLE: Assistant Controller

LOCATION: ADS Headquarters (Virginia Beach, VA) Not Remote

ADS is currently seeking an Assistant Controller to work closely with the Controller and VP of Finance out of our Headquarters in Virginia Beach, VA.  As a world operational equipment solutions provider, we provide our customers with the most extensive selection of operational equipment in the industry and technologically advanced logistics solutions. We are intensely focused on providing cost effective, state-of-the-art equipment and logistics solutions to meet customer needs to complete their missions and make the world a safer place.  
 
REQUIREMENTS

• Month end closing along with G/L accounting, reconciliation, fixed assets and accruals

• Technical accounting matters, such as researching new pronouncements impact and recommending best ways to treat them


• Interface with external auditors and perform auditing tasks as needed; generate reports for various regulatory bodies and internal review


• Analyze and report on financial operations, income statements and other ad hoc information requests


• Assist with financial analysis and budgeting


• Work with CFO and other executives as needed

 REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's in Accounting; Master's Degree and/or CPA is a plus

• Public accounting experience preferred


• 2-4 years General Ledger experience, knowledge of GAAP


• Strong computer software skills including high proficiency with Excel and other tools


• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment


• Excellent communication, organizational and detail skills
