This position variety of duties including shipping, receiving, packaging, pickups, deliveries, and inventory control for our internal and external customers.
Expectations & Responsibilities:
Takes and stores photos of incoming and outgoing shipments.
Unpacks and repacks received components in cardboard or wood containers
Maintain databases of job/parts storage and also Movement Logs.
Inventory received parts with correct jobs.
Maintains inventory of machinery and equipment and participates in physical inventories
Verifies accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments and maintains related records such as receiving reports, pictures and updating of electronic data bases.
Plan, assemble, disassemble, fabricate or repair crates, boxes, cartons, pallets and other packaging containers of large or unusual size and shape, wraps, protects and packs machinery, equipment or other items for shipment domestically and internationally.
Operates lift truck or other related equipment, transfer equipment to and from warehouses.
Rigging and lifting of large/heavy items, trained to use straps, large crane hoists and other lifting equipment
Provides security and effective control of customer and Alfa Laval equipment, shop support, and movement of materials or equipment as required inside shop.
Active participant in ALPS meetings.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities desired:
High School diploma or Equivalent
Valid Driver's license
Strong communication and organization skills
Experience operating forklift trucks, hand pallet jacks and overhead cranes, preferred
Experience with carpentry hand and power tools
Able to use measuring devices (tape measure, depth micrometer) and working from blueprint measurements.
Flexible, Team Player
Clocking in and out, scanning bar codes, taking photos
Lifting up to 60 pounds
