JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Regulatory Knowledge & Operations Management - Responsible for the development, oversight, management and record keeping aspects of assigned discipline/program area. Executes assigned research oversight program area, assuming responsibility for maintaining currency with applicable new/changing federal and state statutes and regulations and evolving enforcement areas, in order to predict future programmatic needs based on in depth knowledge and interconnectedness with key individuals across the country and within regulatory agencies. Ability to interpret and analyze the concepts and principles of federal and state law, institutional policies/procedures/guidance and professional guidance as it relates to the conduct and oversight of regulated activities and assess the impact of specific regulatory decision on the overall institutional environment at CCHMC. Develop or revise CCHMC's policies and procedures, education and communication tools necessary to facilitate compliance.
People Planning - Coach and mentor personnel to enhance professional knowledge. Make job requirements and goals for each position clear to employees and provide sufficient training to achieve the desired level of competency. Delegate responsibilities to reporting personnel, establish clear lines of responsibility and accountability. Oversee succession planning for key roles. Provide mentorship and development to direct and indirect reporting staff. Maintain accurate payroll records.
Operations - Direct, establish and monitor business processes to ensure effective and efficient operations; identify opportunities for improving cost through in-depth process and analysis and develop and offer recommendations to drive significant operational change; resolve issues directly, or in consultation with leadership concerning staffing. Serve as a point of contact and resource for the daily operations. Execute the strategic vision and plan for the department/program. Develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures that guide and support departmental operations and services.
Performance Management - Effectively and appropriately leveraging human resources business partners to meet the division's talent management goals; ultimate responsibility for supporting organizational programs/plans that impact employees and ensuring communication, comprehension, and adherence to all Human Resources policies and related legal and/or compliance requirements.
Compliance - Maintain status as the institutional regulatory expert within assigned discipline/program area. Remains current through formal and informal networks and interactions on national trends, in order to forecast/predict future state based on in depth knowledge and interconnectedness with key individuals across the country and within regulatory agencies. Develop procedures/systems to monitor institutional activities as needed in conjunction with appropriate institutional leadership and the Office of General Counsel. Identifies opportunities for program improvement and advises stakeholders of appropriate action.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in a related field
7+ years of work experience in a related job discipline
