The Motion Product Specialist is responsible for managing projects in support of new product launches or expansion of existing products. Assisting Product Management through product lifecycle transitions by coordinating activities with both sales, demand planning and Supply chain is a key responsibility. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, possess the ability to learn a diverse skillset on the job, and communicate clearly. The candidate will have the opportunity to work with a cross-functional team consisting of Engineering, Manufacturing, Development, Supply Chain, Demand Planning and Strategic Sourcing.
Description of Duties:
Manage assigned projects: identify and deploy project tasks, manage internal resources to meet timelines, report on progress throughout each project
Manage product lifecycle transitions: identify specific materials affected for each product transition, outline and implement transition plan, communicate to the organization through the transition
Maintain customer facing pricing database, coordinate with MARCOM to eliminate errors and implement improvements
Load customer facing documentation to the website and work with e-Marketing to ensure the materials are organized in an intuitive and effective manor
Coordinate with e-Marketing to establish and maintain a customer facing configurator for mechanical drawings on the website
Prepare reports that outline sales by product when requested
Conduct special research projects as assigned
Travel locally between manufacturing facility and headquarters; otherwise minimal travel requirements
Provide support to sales team when required
Collect, organize, and analyze competitive product information and pricing
Qualifications:
Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Marketing or equivalent related work experience.
Superb oral and written communication skills, including technical writing and presentation skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a team approach
Strong organization skills with keen attention to detail.
Ability to think creatively and present innovative concepts.
Ability to establish priorities when presented with conflicting deadlines.
Demonstrate a high level of integrity and reliability.
Knowledge and experience with Microsoft OS, Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
