Platform Engineer at MMC in Broomfield, Colorado

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented individual to join our team at Victor Insurance. This role will be based in Broomfield, CO (Remote options available). This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.


Victor Insurance Holdings, the world's largest managing general underwriter, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Platform Engineer. In this role, you will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our organization's CI/CD pipelines, ensuring adherence to company and regulatory policies and standards while driving automation and improving efficiency.



WE WILL COUNT ON YOU TO:

• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines for seamless integration and deployment of software applications.


• Develop and enforce S-SDLC best practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.


• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to identify and implement automation opportunities.


• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.


• Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance on CI/CD and S-SDLC best practices, tools, and methodologies.

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.


• Proven experience in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Octopus.


• Strong understanding of S-SDLC best practices, including secure coding principles and vulnerability management.


• Proficiency in scripting and automation languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Node.js).


• In-depth knowledge of software development methodologies, such as Agile or DevOps.

WHAT MAKES YOU STAND OUT:

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).


• Experience with pipeline security tools (e.g., SysDig, Snyk, ZAP) and code quality tools (e.g., PMD, Jacoco).


• Knowledge of monitoring and observability principles and tools (e.g., Prometheus, Splunk, DataDog).

The applicable base salary range for this role is $99,900 to $199,700.


The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
