Two Six Technologies is seeking a Junior QA Test Engineer to work on an emerging cyberspace capability. This candidate will be responsible for helping to develop and maintain manual functional/user-acceptance tests to assess software product development. They will work closely with the development and field operations teams to evaluate new and existing features, as well as identify, examine and document defects.The selected candidate will be required to work up to 3-4 days/week in our Arlington, VA office. Responsibilities Include:
Performs software product testing and investigates possible causes of problems.
Develops functional end-to-end regression tests in manual test environments.
Detects and writes software defect reports and feature requests.
Understands, reproduces, troubleshoots product defects and works with developers to determine the best resolution.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors of Science Degree or equivalent work experience
1 year of experience with Google Suite or Microsoft Office products
Demonstrates basic knowledge of IT systems, networking, and problem solving
Familiarity with UNIX / LINUX-based operating systems
Eligibility and willingness to obtain and maintain a government security clearance up to secret level
Nice to Have:
Military cyber experience or understanding of common military or cyber vernacular
Solid grasp of technical writing and documentation
Experience with SQL or other basic database technologies
Familiarity with virtualization and/or cloud technologies such as Docker, vSphere, Ansible, or AWS
Understanding of the Agile Software Development Life Cycle
Experience refining low-level testing or configuration scripts using Bash, Python, or Javascript
