Confirms Scope of Work and contractual obligations with Project Manager
Understands the project(s) scope and plans and develops concepts and approaches appropriate to the construction budget and the disciplines in carrying out the project work.
Participates in code analysis, including NFPA, IBC, and SHPO, or similar regulatory bodies.
Coordinates project design and schedule with all internal and external consultants
Responsible for maintaining team progress and meeting project deliverables deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Assures overall quality, completeness, and accuracy of Construction Documents
Attends meetings with Owner as required by Project Manager/prepare meeting minutes
Works with Specifications team, Project Manager and Owner to coordinate Specifications and Front-end Documents
Ability/Desire to take on increasing levels of leadership and accountability to projects and Clients.
Minimum of 2 years contributing to adaptive reuse or preservation projects
Experience with Nationally or Locally Registered Historic Projects
In-depth knowledge of construction materials and assemblies, including existing construction and historic finishes
High level competency in the use of design and production software (i.e. REVIT, AutoCAD, etc.) and functional literacy in use of MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Ability to work in a collaborative and often fast-paced environment and a strong team-oriented approach
Experience in the development of construction documents. Experience with documenting existing construction and historically relevant structures is preferred.
Excellent organization and time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to travel locally as required, with potential for regional or national travel as project needs arise
Demonstrated capabilities with written narratives and reports in support of regulatory approvals for historic structures is a plus.
