The Shipping & Receiving Operator III will provide services pertaining to the handling, warehousing, shipping, and receiving of materials. They will be responsible for the daily operations, organization, and sanitation activities to meet customer expectations for outbound and inbound products at our Dawn, TX facility.
Pull the product from the lines and appropriately store or stage it in the warehouse.
Load outbound customer orders onto van trailers.
Load outbound customer orders onto bulk trailers.
Unload inbound materials and products and appropriately store or stage it in the warehouse.
Move trailers around the yard to different docking areas to load them.
Ensure cleanliness of the warehouse, docks, vehicles, and workspaces
Perform daily inspections and minor maintenance on the truck and equipment.
Manage and complete the paperwork for those inbound and outbounds loads.
Create certificates of analysis for shipment.
Keep the status loads current in the scheduling and shipping tools (MEDB)
Follow all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.
Assist in Organic Grains fulfilment.
Ensuring that the product is shipped meets quality shipping standards including bag conditions, proper labeling, correct product, and cleanliness. This position is often the last line of defense for food safety and quality.
SHIPPING & RECEIVING OPERATOR 1II QUALIFICATIONS:
High School education or GED with experience working in an industrial setting is a plus.
Mastered and can perform all of the following skills: 1) Work on van shipment completion, 2) Pulling lines and staging, 3) Bulk load-out, 4) Shipping paperwork, 5) Receiving/inbound process, 6) Organic grains fulfillment, and 7) Driving yard trucks and trailers.
Forklift operating skills (on the job training is provided).
Safety training is required and provided by Panhandle Milling in group settings, as well as individual computer-based training.
Fall Protection training.
Ability to utilize computers for documenting job tasks.
Possess excellent interpersonal skills, multitask, and able to read and write in English.
Ability to work unsupervised.
Available to work flexible hours, evenings, weekends, and shift work may be required.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position requires physical efforts such as straining, pulling, lifting, working, and standing and walking on concrete floor.
Repeated lifting of up to 50lbs throughout shift
Exposure to elements such as noise, dust, cold and hot temperatures.
Extreme climate or climate variation.
Heat exceeding 100 degrees and lows below freezing.
Changes of >30 degrees within a shift.
Exposure to manufacturing equipment hazards, especially forklifts.
Climbing of ladders
May be assigned 12 hours shifts.
