Job Description:

Job Summary Assembles electronic components, subassemblies, products, or systems to meet customer satisfaction. Job Responsibilities Reads work orders, follows production drawings and sample assemblies, or receives verbal instructions. Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other using hand jigs, fixtures, or other holding devices. Crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, solders, cements, press fits, or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place. Installs finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and/or cabinets. Assembles and attaches hardware, such as caps, clamps, knobs, and switches, to assemblies. Performs intermediate assembly tasks such as: potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy, bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating, and color-coding parts and assemblies. Adjusts or trims materials from components to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics. Performs online go-no-go testing and inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production standards. Protect themselves and their co-workers by adhering to all company safety & health policies. Identify hazards in the workplace and report them to management and/or safety coordinator. Must work with the EHS department to ensure all local, state, and federal regulatory agencies requirements are met; OSHA, NFPA, DNR, EPA and Amphenol sustainability practices. Must work with the Quality department to ensure all quality standards are met for AS9100 certification. Comply with company policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Education: High School Diploma or equivalent 1 to 3 months of experience or training OR An equivalent combination of education and experience. Passage of appropriate testing to advance in ABC certification program. Physical: Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, stooping, twist, reach, reach overhead. Must be able to lift 0-10lbs frequently. Shift: 2nd (3:45pm-2:15am). Shift Differential: This position shall also receive an additional dollar per hour to their regular pay. Knowledge: English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. Mechanical — Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Production and Processing — Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. Skills: Active Listening — Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. Attention to Detail —Being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks. Critical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Getting Information — Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources. Handling and Moving Objects — Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things. Reading Comprehension — Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents. Speaking — Talking to others to convey information effectively. Time Management — Managing one's own time and the time of others. Abilities: Arm-Hand Steadiness — The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position. Control Precision — The ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions. Manual Dexterity — The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects. Multi-limb Coordination — The ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting, standing, or lying down. It does not involve performing the activities while the whole body is in motion. Near Vision — The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer). Oral Comprehension — The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Problem Sensitivity — The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.
