WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Be able to effectively operate equipment as required.
Set-up and consistently maintain all the current and future, production machine vision systems in the plant, including Smart sensors, Code readers, Proprietary and PC based systems.
Assist in the development, integration and testing of new equipment and/or additional inspection systems brought online in the future.
Configure new and existing systems to overcome unexpected challenges without sacrificing the quality and functionality of the inspection process.
Troubleshoot and identify mechanical, electrical, and programming issues regarding the equipment in question.
Run and in some cases develop Validation protocols for the vision systems that meet corporate and customer requirements.
Develop and update training for the setup mechanic and/or other end users.
Work with others and serve as a mentor.
Complete Continuing Education Units (CEUs) or other trainings required to perform the growing demands of the position.
Work a flexible schedule, including overtime, as needed based on production demands.
Proficient in PLC programming and troubleshooting.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Adhere to and communicate to others the Health, Safety and Quality policies, including use of PPE.
Other duties as assigned.

Are You?
Associate degree (A.A.) holder or equivalent from two-year college or technical school with 3 years related experience and/or training in robotics or visions systems.
Solid background in Quality expectations.
Perform/understand Validation requirements.
Reliable self-starter with good attendance record.
Working knowledge in robotics and/or vision systems.
Preferred:
Hands on experience working with robotics and/or vision systems.
Background in Microsoft Windows based operating systems, spreadsheet design and/or photo editing.
Working knowledge of Visual Basics, C and/or Java programming languages.
Understanding of fundamental electronics.

Knowledge, skills and ability to train Maintenance Technician I.
Working knowledge of Solid Works and/or AutoCad.
Ability to troubleshoot down to the component level.
Strong aptitude for computers with the ability to learn standard vision tool sets and the terminology used to explain them.
Ability to read drawings and set up sheets.
Effectively communicate with supervisor.
The ability to read, write, and comprehend information provided.
