JOB DESCRIPTION
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The incumbent will be appointed at the Research Assistant Professor Level, on the clinical educator track in Cognitive Disorders Division, Department of Neurology at the University of Miami School of Medicine.
The candidate will conduct research on Cognitive health disparities in under-served populations at the Comprehensive Center for Brain Health.
The incumbent will participate in other several research projects, and mentor residents/fellows in their research.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
Interact and collaborate with leading physicians, scientists, and clinicians to advance the research goals. Develop appropriate and detailed research protocols in compliance with all Federal and Institutional animal welfare regulations. Obtain Institutional, State, and Federal funding to support this research. Train/mentor residents and fellows to increase their clinical fund of knowledge and interest/success with academic research. Preparation and presentation at teaching conferences. Obtain data and results that can be used to apply for future clinical research awards.
