Pilot SME
A. Harold and Associates, LLC, is seeking a part-time Pilot SMEfor the E-2, C-2, and LSO Training Programs Curriculum Maintenance and Revision (R&M) contract. The E-2C/E-2D SME will be responsible for the R&M of VAW-120 training courseware for student Pilots and Naval Flight Officers. The SME will review courseware and provide Recommended Changes (CRs). Upon approval of CRs, the SME will make applicable courseware changes, provide direction to the Graphic Artist (GA) for graphic and animation changes, and verify all approved CRs to the courseware are complete before submitting the courseware for government acceptance. This position is on site at Naval Station Norfolk, VA.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Update, revise, and produce PowerPoint and other training materials in support of VAW-120 training events.
Review all Curriculum training materials, etc., for commonalities, efficiencies, deficiencies, and submit recommended CRs to the COR. Periodicity of review may be on a standing periodic schedule or as the result of assigned CRs.
Identify, document, and correct all spelling, punctuation, grammar, references, and syntax errors during the annual review or as completing assigned CRs on lessons.
Recommend additions, deletions, or changes to submitted CRs to the COR.
Cross-validate curriculum for effect on other curriculum, training materials, and training system as a whole.
Verify all revisions completed by Contractor GAs, programmers, instructional designers, and any additional technical personnel to include other SMEs.
Attend meetings (e.g., scheduling, standardization, phase head, safety systems working groups, intelligence updates, aircraft systems, weapons tactics briefings, and conferences) with Government/COR approval/direction.
Conduct, at a minimum, quarterly curriculum test item analysis to measure the accuracy of test items and report findings to the COR.
Assess training, syllabus, and mission scenarios to ensure courseware and training documents reflect current tactics, techniques, and procedures as defined in the Navy Tactical Techniques and Procedures (NTTP), Joint Doctrine, and Navy War-fighting Publications, and are the most effective means of execution and make recommendations for improvements to the Government.
Required Experience/Education:
A minimum of 2 years' experience in the operation of the applicable weapons system within the last seven years OR a minimum of two years' experience working on R&M of the applicable weapons system training program within the last five years
SME shall have been qualified as Hawkeye Weapons Tactics Program (HWTP) at a minimum Level IV or Aircrew Combat Training Continuum (ACTC) Level IV. If not, the SME shall have a minimum of one year of experience working as a Contracted Instructor Service (CIS) E-2C/D Hawkeye instructor (Pilot/NFO) on the applicable weapons system training program within the last six months.
A SECRET clearance is required.
