The Instructional Multimedia Production Senior Specialist for the College of Arts and Sciences (ASC) Distance Education team works in collaboration with the Electronic Learning Development team, faculty, and staff to oversee and support all phases of production in multimedia projects related to distance education and technology-enabled teaching. This position's goal is to enhance digital learning opportunities related to ASC courses and academic programs in the credit and non-credit space, as well as professional development for instructors. The Instructional Multimedia Production Senior Specialist supports the production of multimedia-based projects including for educational and information purposes. The position plans, produces, and delivers a range of creative products, including, but not limited to, video, animation, audio, print, photography, and emerging mediums such as augmented/virtual reality, interactive media assets, and immersive learning experiences. Collaborates with the ASC Office of Distance Education (ODE) team and ASC instructors to design, develop, deliver, and assess multimedia components for coursework and to identify and recommend multimedia, software, and strategies in course design and facilitation. This collaboration will include consultations on course design projects (brainstorming, vision, storyboarding, recommendations for video and multimedia) and production management on courses and other initiatives (scheduling, directing and coaching talent, pre- and post-production timeline), and recording and editing. Oversees ASC ODE's recording and studio spaces. Develops training opportunities for ASC faculty, staff, and students in hybrid learning, recording class sessions, creating effective multimedia products, lecture capture, digital storytelling, and more. Explores and recommends recent technologies, multimedia styles, and processes to incorporate into ASC's service offerings for instructional media. Provides support for college and enterprise lectures, capture screen recording and video management software. Applies and communicates best practices and maintains awareness of issues and trends in multimedia production, videography, animation, graphic design, audio engineering, and emerging technologies. Applies principles of multimedia learning, Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and accessibility requirements to all creative products. Achieves and maintains expert-level proficiency with multimedia creation tools, including Adobe Creative Suite: Premier Pro, After Effects, Animate, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign. Responds efficiently to requests and small help projects, able to successfully organize and prioritize multiple projects on multiple timelines. To ensure that services are provided, this position may be required to work outside of regular working hours and use their own vehicle to transport gear as needed.
Required: Bachelor's degree in Video/Film Production, Fine Art, Digital Media Communications, Educational Technology, or related field of study. Four years of experience in videography, film production, audio capture and editing. One to two years of experience with DSLR and professional video cameras, professional audio equipment, and field and studio lighting. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite software, including Premier Pro, After Effects, Animate, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign. Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, verbal and written skills required. Examples of professional portfolio may be required. Familiarity with web accessibility guidelines, ADA, DMCA, Universal Design for Learning (UDL). Familiarity with principles of multimedia teaching and learning.
Desired: Previous audio/video studio management experience, including equipment inventory management and maintenance. Project management experience, especially in Airtable. Drone license.

The pay range for this job profile is $64,300-$84,550 . The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.
