Primary Responsibility :
• Ensure a safe work area for the team. They are expected to model safe behaviors and coach their team members as needed. Report all near miss, first aid, injuries, etc. STOP THINK ACT
• Responsible for the quality of work produced by his/her line. Expected to address issues real time, always coaching, not criticizing. Following up with your internal customer to ensure satisfaction.
• Accountable for the productivity coming off the line. Productivity numbers will be determined by the Supervisor in partnership with the lead based off time studies. Right the first time... we go faster by going slower.
• A working leader that can perform all the tasks asked of his or her team.
• Expected to role model behaviors according to the handbook. Leaders are expected to arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of the shift. They are further expected to be on time going/ returning from breaks and lunch. We as leaders model the behaviors we want!
• Should spend 80% of the workday, coaching, inspecting, verifying material, managing the pace of the line, making adjustments, and celebrating the wins. The remaining 20% of the workday should be spent on the line welding and grinding along with the team.
Reports to the Supervisor. All communication is expected to go through the Supervisor. If you need material, contact you supervisor. If you have design questions, contact your supervisor.
