Job Description:

Key Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Build, maintain, and develop a team of Service Center Managers that strive for excellence.

  • Provide leadership across RPM by demonstrating ORBIS values and culture. Seamless day to day execution of operations throughout allocated Service Centers.

  • Daily review of production metrics and KPI's (production, labor hours/expense, parts per hour).

  • Monthly review of financial statements and expenses (labor/overtime, forklifts, equipment/facility repairs).

  • Evaluate and adjust operations as necessary to achieve customer expectations, production, and financial goals.

  • Drive accountability to standard operating procedures throughout allocated Service Centers.

  • Ensure best practice sharing throughout RPM by collaborating with other Senior Operations Managers, Regional Managers, and the Safety, Quality, and Human Resources teams.

  • Perform site visits and audits of Service Centers to ensure safety, production, and quality requirements.

  • Establish and maintain engaged and professional relationships with all allocated Customers.

  • Develop with the team of Service Center Managers a continuous improvement plan relative to operational excellence, employee relations, and financial strategies.

  • Review, evaluate and provide corrective action for direct reports on a predetermined and proactive basis.

  • Motivate, train, and develop team members as part of succession planning and for future growth/opportunities.

  • Consistently ensure adherence and accountability of ORBIS polices.

  • Be a Subject Matter Expert of RPM operations for Commercial (Sales & Marketing) for new opportunities.

  • Working with Commercial, scope new opportunities through customer site visits and review of RFPs.

  • Working with Customers, Commercial, Engineering, and vendors, solution out new opportunities including building, labor, equipment, and automation. Working with Finance and Commercial, cost model out new opportunities. When new opportunities are secured, plan, resource, and project manage the program's implementation through to successful and profitable start up.

  • Other duties as assigned.

3. Must meet or exceed safety and quality requirements.

Education/Certification
Level Required: High School Diploma/GED | Must maintain Company approved Fork Lift Operator's Licenses.

Level Desired: Bachelor's Degree Company Certification

Work Experience
Required


  • Minimum of 8 years direct oversight and management experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment with a proved track record of success and stability.

  • Basic level of mechanical skills

Desired

  • Experience overseeing multiple remote locations

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
1. Must be able to read/comprehend written and oral instructions in English; read and comprehend safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and product recipes/material identifications.

2. Preferred core understanding and/or experience in supply chain related activities (i.e. transportation, reverse logistics, cleaning and sanitation, asset tracking).

3. Proven understanding of safety and OSHA compliant processes.

4. Superior leadership skills with proven ability to effectively manage and develop a diverse team of people, and facilitate effective cross-business synergies. (Bi-Lingual a plus).

5. Intermediate financial knowledge sufficient to understand/build/manage financial budgets and statements.

6. Trained and proficient utilizing LEAN Manufacturing practices and at least 3 years of LEAN, 5S and process improvement experience.

Travel Requirements
• 75% travel required to support the locations assigned within their region.
• Valid driver's license required/Motor Vehicle Report Required
