Procurement Analyst I at Vactor Manufacturing in Streator, Illinois

Job Description:

Key Activities/Responsibilities:


  1. Coordinate project workflow with various ESG divisions & external suppliers.

  2. Maintain supplier quote information for certain sites in specific ERP systems.

  3. Request and analyze pricing proposals from potential suppliers and communicate results to team members.

  4. Support the implementation of various procurement sourcing tools, services & processes and then maintain the on-going functionality.

  5. Prepare enterprise-wide spend rollup information from numerous sites utilizing different ERP systems.

  6. Prepare and track support materials for various projects.

  7. Other duties as assigned, such as organizing supplier meetings, preparing presentations, various time-sensitive assignments.

Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management or other related area required; or minimum of 5 years procurement experience in a manufacturing environment in lieu of degree

  • A minimum of 5 years of procurement in experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

  • Strong communication skills as this position interacts with people at different levels of the organization, within several different groups of Federal Signal, and with external companies / suppliers / customers.

  • Must be organized and able to effectively manage multiple activities simultaneously on schedule.

  • Strong attention to detail, especially with the use of MS Excel, and other Office products.

  • Must have working knowledge of JD Edwards required; Syteline, Syspro, and Epicor preferred.

  • Must have experience within related purchase commodities associated with OEM mobile equipment manufacturing

  • Travel is minimal.  Must be effective with virtual meetings.
