GENERAL SUMMARY: This position will facilitate learning for a custom ACR training program to provide PLA credits for Union High School students in Tulsa. Courses are based on ACR system applications, commercial and residential a/c and heating systems, and commercial refrigeration. Courses will be taught in-person with daytime classes.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain accurate records of students' progress and provide them to administration when appropriate.
Assist in course scheduling and the creation of instructional material as needed.
Assume daily responsibility of housekeeping and maintenance of classrooms and/or online courses.
Maintain course gradebook and answer student questions visa email in a timely manner.
Willingly spend the time necessary to accomplish assigned tasks and responsibilities.
Assist in developing and updating course materials and curriculum in conjunction with the ACR and Construction faculty, advisory committee representatives, general education faculty and technical program faculty.
Willingly participate in both unit and institution-wide student persistence efforts.
Design interactive, engaging, technology-enriched and applications-focused student learning experiences.
Maintain up-to-date course outlines, objectives, assignments, and tests.
Willingly participate in both unit and institution-wide student persistence efforts.
Participate fully in the academic assessment of student learning in alignment with the expectations of accreditation and governing entities.
Represent the School and University in appropriate professional and community organizations and related activities.
Fulfill other responsibilities to meet the needs of the School or OSUIT.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline preferred.
Other combinations of education and industry experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement.
HVAC Journeyman license preferred.
Evidences a history of demonstrating ethical and professional behavior.
Three years of professional experience in the subject to be taught, as well as demonstrated or a strong potential of teaching excellence.
Documented successful work experience in related industry.
Teaching experience preferred.
Demonstrated success in collaborating with various constituencies.
Ability to plan, organize and fulfill complex initiatives.
Computer skills to include electronic communications, word processing, and the ability to use specific software associated with the position are necessary.
Ability to maintain high standards of work, initiative, commitment, ethics, professional responsibility and judgment.
Superior interpersonal skills-including the ability to effectively recognize and resolve complex problems in a constructive manner.
Ability to speak to a group in a manner that engages students and facilitates learning.
