The ICS Parts Engineer works within the Ipsen Customer Service (ICS) Parts department to support the fast-paced and growing parts group. In this role, the ICS Parts Engineer will provide technical parts identification support to ICS Parts Sales Specialists, Ipsen Retrofits Group, Ipsen Field Service Engineers, and Ipsen Customers. Additionally, this role will work to develop spare parts kits, verify fit, form, and function of superseded parts, and support activities as it relates to parts obsoletion.
Essential Duties andResponsibilities
Provide product specification, part number research, and guidance as the parts identification subject matter expert to support customers quoting.
Develop spare parts kits to support new equipment sales and installed equipment in the field.
Research product bills of material, product manuals, and engineering drawings to ensure quoting accuracy.
Identify parts from technical data provided by customers, suppliers, and our internal staff.
Perform spare parts set-up activities in ERP system.
Perform product technical assistance, including but not limited to, quotations and part number identification.
Other assignments as designated by supervisor.
Requirements:

Possess a high attention to detail and strong organization skills.
Possess strong computer skills, with ability to proficiently learn company's ERP system.
Strong research skills, able to utilize multiple resources to identify required components necessary for proper repair of a piece of equipment.
Ability to read CAD/engineering drawings, identify, and interpret the function of parts and machinery communicated.
Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize workload with competing priorities.
Ability to adapt quickly to changes and new technology.
Ability to communicate in a direct, professional manner.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, blueprints and general technical data.
Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal staff, customers and the general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, quantities, percentages.
Possess the ability to learn technical knowledge about Ipsen parts and equipment.
Ability to travel as required to customers sites, less than 10% travel requirement.
Education and Experience
Experience working with vacuum heat-treating furnaces a plus.
Prior related experience in manufacturing, engineering, spare parts, or like field.
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial or other technical engineering focus required.
