Summary

Our Director of Cyber Security and IT, Acquisitions will lead our Global Gexpro Services Cyber Security program and will lead the Cyber Security Team. In addition, he/she will be responsible for all aspects of IT for our acquisition partners. Working hand in hand with them, he/she will serve as the project manager for the analysis, design, development, implementation, and support of defined business applications. He/she MUST have the ability to be technically “hands-on” with the architecture, code and setup. He/she should maintain communication between internal resources and external software development/deployment teams including a) establishing timelines and prioritization of work within the team, b) evaluating new technologies to impact line of business applications, c) preparing project plans and schedules for applications development, enhancement, and maintenance efforts, and d) working with other development and testing teams to coordinate activities. He/she will monitor and track the progress of each project and communicate project status and issues with the senior staff.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Partner with the IT Leadership team and other key risk management stakeholders to plan and execute our broader cybersecurity strategy.
  • Coordinate security, privacy, and risk assessments of our environment using the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
  • Use business acumen and strategic thinking to apply the right set of IT security and data privacy practices and standards that meets business need and risk philosophy.
  • Author policies and partner with others to establish procedures relative to these security best practices.
  • Conduct audits of security controls to ensure compliance with established practices and procedures.
  • Develop and document analysis and response processes (playbooks).
  • Coordinate tests of our incident response.
  • Lead security and data privacy improvement projects as appropriate
  • Performance management and relationship management of key IT security partners.
  • Supervise employee(s) responsible for internal security controls
  • Evaluate new cybersecurity threats and threat trends and develop effective security controls.
  • Maintain current knowledge of the security industry and regulatory trends.
  • Oversee security awareness programs.
  • In partnership with our MSSP, coordinate responses to security breaches.
  • Define and report on information security metrics.
  • Create and maintains multi-year security and data privacy roadmap.
  • Lead integration efforts with our acquisition companies
  • Manage relationships with key IT vendors, ensuring we are receiving the best performance at the lowest cost.
  • Work with MSP to realize most effective licensing opportunities on O365 and Azure Cloud Environment
  • Oversee ISP selection/management ensuring highest performance at most economical cost
  • Manage special projects as related to acquisition integration, infrastructure design, system enhancements and cyber security improvements.
  • Supervise all troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrades and continuously look to improve the operating environment.
  • Work cross functionally to support strong customer service orientation and ensure that all service requests and incidents are resolved in a professional and timely manner.

Skills, Knowledge, and Education:

  • Strong knowledge of distribution and process improvement.
  • Strong knowledge/understanding of IT systems (Office, ERPs, etc.).
  • Background in IT or related field preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Six Sigma Certification and/or Lean Manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to negotiate contracts; solid presentation skills.
  • 4+ years business experience.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work with all levels of the organization.
  • Analytical, effective problem solver, solution oriented.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Team oriented with a hands-on leadership style.
