Type: Full-Time
Performs a variety of independent laboratory work and experiments such as determining experimental protocols and preparation of specimens and cultures. Prepares reports of findings subsequent to compilation and analyzation. Oversees specimen inventory. Develops documentation for publication; crafts manuscripts and grant proposals.
• Perform a variety of laboratory experiments such as imaging, histology, molecular and cellular techniques, small animal surgical procedures, and cell culture-related techniques
• Perform related technical functions, testing, troubleshooting, analysis, and ensure conformity to protocol specifications
• Oversee management of laboratory supplies including ordering, procurement, tracking estimates, and receiving items
• Operate, maintain, calibrate, clean, and test sterility of applicable laboratory equipment related to job functions
• Keep detailed, accurate, and timely data and log books to organize and document results
• Contribute to laboratory publications, research presentations, and funding applications
Incumbent must be able to stand to perform duties. Some walking is necessary between laboratories of collaborators.
