Overhead Door Company of Boston™, a DH Pace Company, Inc. – Hiring an Operations Manager to lead all aspects of Operations, including P&L, directly manage construction service managers responsible for field crews (installers/techs) and ensure high satisfaction levels are maintained for customer construction projects performed. Will communicate and interface with all personnel and customers.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Lead and oversee divisional operations and management personnel associated with efficiently, effectively, safely, and profitably handling all Service, Repair, and Installation jobs
Manage and improve operational processes and procedures with the objective of providing maximum profit and return with an emphasis on customer satisfaction and return business
Manage operational services to ensure sold jobs are timely scheduled and skillfully performed to achieve divisional budgeted sales and gross profit objectives
Collaborate with National Operations Manager and East Area Manager to ensure operating budgets and sales goals align and are on track monthly
Deliver Profit Dollars and the return on sales that meets or exceeds the yearly financial budget/forecast
Establish objectives and action plans and ensure all are consistent with corporate objectives
Hire, train and develop new employees; improve individual performance through daily coaching, monthly P&L and Scorecard reviews and yearly performance reviews
Effectively lead meetings, set performance expectations and hold employees accountable
Communicate with customers directly to solicit feedback, solve problems and/or learn of new sales opportunities
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree preferred with minimum 2 years’ Management experience in Service Provider industry and strong preference for familiarity and knowledge of construction project management and building materials.
Commitment to regularly managing operations in-office M-F at Rockland, MA 02370 office
Successful completion of references, employment verifications, background check, and drug screen required in advance of hire; must have valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
Possess an ability for technical applications, mechanical/electrical systems and problem solving
Experience conducting meetings with exempt and non-exempt personnel, as well as hiring, training, developing and conducting annual performance reviews
Must enjoy a high level of activity in a hands-on environment where there is an emphasis on meeting deadlines and providing unmatched customer service
Travel consists of visiting customer job sites for field crew management oversight and customer interaction
