Earlham College is seeking an Assistant Professor of Business in Sustainable Supply Chain-Tenure Track to join our team.



Job Summary:



The Business Department at Earlham College is seeking applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in sustainable supply chain management to join our team beginning in Spring 2025 or Fall 2025. Applicants are expected to have both teaching and scholarly interests in (but not limited to) sustainable supply chains, the circular economy, or humanitarian logistics. The Department currently offers a business major with concentrations in entrepreneurship, finance, management, marketing, and supply chain as well as an accounting major. Our program emphasizes the intersection of business and society, including issues of ethics, sustainability, and social justice. Faculty have opportunities to conduct research with students and to mentor students in business-related competitions. Typically, upper-level classes have 25 students or fewer.





Responsibilities:


In addition to teaching an introductory supply chain course, the candidate should be able to teach upper-level undergraduate courses in the business major's supply chain concentration. The candidate will have the opportunity to mold the supply chain concentration, and we are open to offering a variety of existing and new courses in the concentration. Candidates are also expected to contribute to intellectual activities at the College as well as provide service to the Earlham community through advising and other activities.

Qualifications

  • Holds (or is currently completing) a terminal degree in supply chain management or related fields

  • Individuals with a relevant master's degree and 5+ years of professional experience may also be considered for the position, though it might be non-tenure-track, depending on the circumstances


  • Possess a strong commitment to teaching excellence

  • Be a positive example and resource to all Earlham students



  • Salary will be based on the candidate's education and experience.
