Location: St. Louis, MO (Clayton) (Onsite, with some hybrid flexibility)

Position Overview:
The Staff Accountant will play a key role in year-end close and audit preparation, along with supporting general accounting functions. This position involves collaborating closely with a dedicated team to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting. Key responsibilities include:
Data Entry & Software Management: Reviewing and posting data into accounting software (MIP/Abila experience preferred but not required).
Account Reconciliations & Workpapers: Performing account reconciliations and preparing workpapers for various general ledger accounts.
Journal Entries & Clean-Up: Preparing and recording journal entries for review, assisting with account clean-up as needed.
Fixed Asset Records: Updating and reconciling fixed asset records as changes occur.
Audit Preparation: Supporting the team to deliver five critical audit items before year-end, with a focus on regulatory compliance for the largest upcoming deadline.
Required Skills & Experience:
Staff Accountant Experience: Prior experience in staff accounting, particularly with year-end close and audit processes.
Technical Skills: Proficient in account reconciliation, journal entries, account clean-up, and fixed asset record management.
Audit Support: Experience with audit preparation is essential.
Preferred Tools/Technologies:
Familiarity with MIP/Abila (accounting software) is advantageous but not required.
Team Structure:
This role will work within a collaborative team, consisting of three full-time accountants, a controller, and a CFO, with additional support from other departments, including administrative staff who assist in invoice processing.
