About us:




Alamo NEX Construction, LLC is a part of the Ferrovial Group in Texas. In 2021, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) selected Alamo NEX Construction, LLC, a joint venture between Ferrovial Construction Texas, LLC and DBW, LLC (both Ferrovial Group subsidiaries), to complete the Interstate 35 (I-35) NEX Central Project. This project is a $1.5 billion Texas Design-Build (DB) project through the cities of San Antonio, Live Oak, Selma, and Schertz that will consist of non-tolled improvements along I-35, I-140, and Loop 1604. The proposed improvements will include the addition of elevated managed lanes to I-35, addition of 4 connector bridges at the I-35/I-410 North interchange, addition of 4 connector bridges at the I-35/Loop 1604 interchange, and widening of Loop 1604 in Bexar and Guadalupe Counties.




Job Description:







  • Policies, Guidelines and Protocols: Follow established policies, guidelines, and protocols for HR activities. Report any issues or inconsistencies to the senior management and suggest improvements based on practical experience.


  • Talent Acquisition & Development: Participate in recruitment processes and support with the onboarding of new employees. Provide professional support for training and development programs.


  • Compensation & Benefits: Administer payroll, benefits, and compensation programs, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Support HR in ensuring accurate payroll processing and benefit distribution.


  • Workforce Planning: Assist in the preparation of personnel expense budgets and headcount planning. Analyze workforce data to ensure alignment with business goals and support long-term workforce strategies.


  • Budgeting: Prepare initial budget estimates for HR projects, gathering necessary financial data and cost information. Support in monitoring and reporting on budget performance.


  • Leave and Absenteeism Management: Manage absences, parental leaves, and sick leaves. Communicate with official entities regarding absences, maternity/paternity leaves, and any changes to employee statuses, ensuring adherence to company policy and legal obligations.


  • Employee Support: Assist employees with HR-related enquiries and provide information on HR policies, benefits, and procedures. Resolve employee issues and concerns in a timely and professional manner. Support the HR team in managing employee support functions.


  • Onboarding and Offboarding processes: Ensure a positive onboarding experience by assisting with new hire orientation. Design and implementation of engagement and satisfaction surveys.


  • Insights & Reporting: Produce accurate reports for others by collecting data from a variety of standard sources and inputting it into standard formats.


  • Organizational Culture: Support initiatives to enhance employee engagement, morale, and workplace satisfaction.


  • Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching. Develop and maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
