I. General Summary


Under general supervision coordinates aspects of the Quality Improvement Department's day-to-day operations and the administration and ownership of projects to support strategic initiatives. Coordinates tracking of all projects and organizes the coordination of all teams as new initiatives are identified. Tracks success of projects and assists in the reporting of outcomes. Monitors the project plans for all projects to ensure compliance


II. Principal Responsibilities and Tasks


The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification. These are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all job duties performed by personnel so classified.


1. Coordinates and oversees the day-to-day operations of the Quality Improvement Department including management of schedules, processing of invoices, and other administrative duties as assigned


2. Discusses ideas, identifies issues, monitors the project, and gains commitment on quality improvement initiatives


3. Understands aspects of required data and reporting,and manages compliance to deadlines.


4. Assists with all aspects of project creation and reporting.


5. Assists with quality improvement tools and processes. Seeks an understanding of project interdependencies to effectively work with others on potential impacts.


6. Participates in the creation and reporting of project-related data for all levels of the organization.


7. Tracks and manages specific project documents, in conjunction with the project leadership.


8. Builds effective networks of internal and external subject matter expert contacts.


9. Coordinates and facilitates project meetings and communications to meet milestones and due dates.

Qualifications

Education and Experience



1. Bachelor's degree required.


2. Experience in business administration or a related field from which comparable knowledge and abilities have been obtained is strongly preferred. One year of project coordination experience is preferred. Healthcare experience is preferred.



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



1. Demonstrated ability to coordinate and oversee the day-to-day operations of a department including management of schedules, processing of invoices, and other administrative duties as assigned


2. Demonstrated ability to manage project teams. Ability to set up, plan, manage, report, and, communicate small projects and direct the completion of projects within proper scope, budget and, schedule.


3. Demonstrated ability to think strategically. Demonstrate sufficient understanding of some functions to structure and manage project work. Generate innovative and practical solutions to complex or unusual problems.


4. Supports client relationship management and oversees project execution and reporting. Possesses excellent customer service skills.


5. Acts as lead resource for dealing with project issues, ability to lead projects. Understands appropriate escalation process. Works with the team to make decisions considering the degree of impact on areas involved. Demonstrated ability to reach agreement and potential solutions through flexibility and compromise with peers, customer/client, and managers.


6. Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, especially Outlook, is required.


6. Structure and manage projects to meet client expectations, deliver value and minimize potential obstacles and risks. Understand and manage stakeholder needs and build commitment to project solutions that deliver target business value.


7. Highly effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary in order to work with all levels within the organization and produce clear and concise reports of relatively complicated issues.
