Pay: $30.20 hourly, + $1.00 shift premium for overnight shift
Shift: Overnight 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM on a 2-2-3 schedule. Every other Friday, Saturday and Sunday off!
Training: Must be able to train on day shift.

Red Oak, Iowa is home to our components plant which manufactures PowerFrame® grids. We have been recognized by the state of Iowa as a renewable energy partner and have received the MidAmerican Energy Clean Air Excellence Award . We opened in 2003 and employ more than 80 people and operate six days per week. Primary Duties: The responsibilities are to maintain the equipment and facility to provide a safe and productive work environment while providing a quality product to our customers. This facility makes grid plates which are a component of the automotive battery manufacturing process.
Responsibilities:
· Routinely perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
· Must be able to read schematics and blueprints, capable of servicing and operating rectifiers, capable of operating precision hand tools, and electronic equipment.
· Complete work orders which will involve mechanical, electrical and/or PLC skillsets.
· Ability to troubleshoot equipment to solve problems.
· Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with peers, operators, and management.
· Know the safety risk assessments and policies to perform work safely. Including wearing all the proper PPE for the job.
· Follow all safety and environmental procedures which includes lockout tagout, electrical safety and arc flash.
· Be trained to be a First Responder.
· Requires ability to plan and layout work, determine accurate and efficient methods, diagnoses, and corrects difficulties to minimize production interruptions.
· Ability to use computer system to update work orders.
· May be required to do electrical, plumbing, heating and roofing repair.
· Must be able to read schematics and blueprints, capable of servicing and operating rectifiers, capable of operating precision hand tools, and electronic equipment.
· Adjust machines for production when adjustment is beyond scope of operator. Modifies equipment as required.
· Installs new equipment including hook up of electrical power, gas, water, air, etc. Moves equipment to new locations.
· Maintains and installs piping, fittings, valves, gauges, and all types of controls for hydraulic systems, gas and airlines.
· Requires ability to set up and operate lathe, milling machine, drill press, grinder, power saws, welder, etc. and improvises where equipment is limited.
· Designs and builds small tools and fixtures from sketches or verbal instructions.
· Makes periodic checks of machines and equipment and performs preventive maintenance as required: oils, cleans, greases, etc.
· Performs carpentry and sheet metal work in fabricating and repairing benches, guards, boxes, trays, etc. Makes sketches for and builds racks, bins, shelves, and other aids to production.
· May perform other duties as directed by management.
Tools & Equipment: Company provides tools. Required to use hand tools, dies, power fork trucks, hand trucks, and equipment to perform normal maintenance tasks.
Education: High School Diploma/GED. Preference will be given to individuals with maintenance technical certification/education and/or equivalent work experience.
Supervision: Maintenance Supervisor
