High Associates, LTD, is the largest apartment owner in Lancaster County, PA We manage apartment communities featuring lovely town-homes and garden apartments in three states: PA, NC & SC.

The Commercial Building Maintenance Techs are responsible for the completion of building maintenance duties as required by service requests submitted by all appropriate tenants and High Properties.

This is a Full-Time opportunity with a schedule of 7:30am - 4:30pm. Weekends are optional. No evenings required.

Areas of responsibility for our maintenance techs:


  • Work with the Customer Service Representative to expedite service orders in a timely and courteous manner. Complete all necessary paperwork. Work with Property Manager and Asset Manager on certain service and/or small projects.

  • Basic A/C Maintenance.

  • Outside Maintenance including, but not limited to: pressure washing, sign cleaning, gutter cleaning & maintenance, parking lot/driveway/sidewalk debris removal, parking block painting, and dumpster area clean-up.

  • Respond to calls from tenants for repairs and make repairs, or if necessary and approved, schedule or arrange for subcontractors to make repairs.

  • Light bulb and ballast replacement in offices & warehouses, and timer adjustments.

  • Water extraction due to leaks from rain, A/C, etc.

  • Replacing ceiling tiles as needed.

  • Occasional overhead door maintenance and minor repairs.

  • Occasional tenant move-out clean ups.

  • Weekly parkland and High Properties curbside trash pick-up, pallet removal/disposal.

  • Maintain records on all types of building items, so that replacement parts or fixtures can be ordered expeditiously.

  • Make electrical/Plumbing changes and additions for buildings as required/requested or coordinate with subcontractor for same if necessary. Inform Manager of Facilities of any work requiring a permit.

  • Additional projects as deemed necessary.

Education and Work Experience:


  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Approximately 3-5 years of directly related experience in electrical, general carpentry, plumbing, and general building maintenance.

  • 3-5 years of HVAC experience required, certifications ideal.
