The Village of Hiram is looking for a skilled fiscal officer who will be accountable for the comprehensive management of the organization's financial resources on a day-to-day basis. This includes not only the creation and enforcement of internal controls to mitigate risk but also the development of fiscal policies that support the organization’s overarching goals. The fiscal officer will be proactive in educating various members of the organization about sound financial practices and the principles of economics, transforming the financial literacy of the entire team. This position is classified as part-time, requiring approximately 30 hours of work each week. Notably, there is an exciting opportunity for the fiscal officer to also serve as the clerk of council. This additional responsibility would add 10 hours to the workweek, allowing this role to evolve into a full-time position, encompassing a total of 40 hours weekly.
