SUMMARY:
To ensure manufactured components, processes, and procedures meet internal and external specifications. Assist in the daily operations of the Quality Assurance Department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inspect manufactured parts and welded assemblies for conformance to engineering drawings and specifications.Use a variety of measuring instruments and test equipment to perform inspections (Such as Micrometers, calipers, Height stands, Comparator, and other equipment) Review inspection results with a cross functional team that may consist of engineers, production, and managers.Investigate and report causes of dimensional and process non-conformances.Recommend corrective and preventive actions to improve product and / or process quality.Participate in the development and implementation of quality assurance programs.Conduct audits of manufacturing and assembly processesInspect incoming materials and components.Prepare detailed reports of findings.Keep abreast of new technology and developments in the aerospace industry.Maintain accurate records and documentation.Inspecting work orders and other documentation to ensure that all procedures have been followed correctly.Assist in the upkeep of the Calibration program.Other duties as required
