The Administrative Specialist is responsible for assisting the Business Manager and other administrative staff. This may include, but not limited to, general administrative tasks, scheduling facility maintenance, handling POS transactions, assisting in troubleshooting IT problems and collecting payments. This role may also be referred to as Member Services Specialist.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responding to member questions and needs via phone, email and in personProviding excellent customer serviceAccepting and processing credit card payments, and following up with past due balancesMaintain current insurance policies for customers. Routine administrative tasks including Submitting IT tickets, entering customer informationCoordinate crew uniform orders trackingProvide information on marina products and servicesOther duties as assigned by Manager
Safety and Environmental Responsibilities
Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related trainingWear proper personal protective equipment as required for the task or work areaReport all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately
Technical and Physical Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferredPrior marina experience preferredPrevious customer service experience preferredProficient in Microsoft OfficeAbility to sit for long periods of timeAbility to lift 10 pounds
